THE BENEFICE OF ST. GEORGE OAKENROD AND ST. CLEMENT, SPOTLAND - August 2021
As the easing of restrictions continue the PCCs of both churches have been reviewing our risk assessments with a view to our services returning to full length as soon as it is safe to do so. We will continue to cater for those who still feel vulnerable whilst we gradually get back to what we used to think of as" our normal service".
We look forward to greeting returning members of our congregations.
At St. George we have completed our risk assessment and we’re able to serve coffee last Sunday (25th). The first time for 16 months!!! It was good to once again, be able to chat with friends.
As we try to return to near normal, rotas are having to be done for the rest of the year. If you have been on the coffee rota in the past and are happy to continue, please will you let me know and I will pass on the names to whoever is doing the list. We are also looking forward to having flowers once again in church. So, Gill Rhodes would like to know if you are still prepared to donate towards the flowers. Please contact her to let her know yay or nay so she can make up the list.
Have we any gardeners with a couple of hours to spare!!! It doesn’t matter what day. The garden needs a lot of tidying up, so Gill Holt is asking that you just pop along and do what you can, when you can.
I know it’s lists, lists and more lists!!!!
Karen Jennifer and myself went over the border to attend the service of Collation and Induction for Robert in his new parishes. We were made very welcome and both Robert and his family looked very happy. I am sure that both congregations wish him well.
Please let me have any items for September newsletter before 28th August.
